Who should attend
High school students in years 9 to 12 who are interested in vocational training (including apprenticeships and traineeships) in:
- agriculture
- allied health
- animal studies
- rural operations
- entrepreneurship.

What to expect
During Experience UQ Skills, you'll have the opportunity to:
- chat to industry experts about career opportunities
- take part in a series of fun, interactive workshops
- explore UQ Skills’ facilities and services
- meet fellow high school students who share your passions.
Interactive workshops
You'll participate in several workshops, covering:
- entrepreneurial thinking
- safe animal handling techniques
- emergency health care
- essential agricultural skills.
Food and refreshments
- We'll provide a BBQ lunch and snacks throughout the day.
- While we make every effort to cater for dietary needs, we recommend you bring additional food from home if you have specific requirements.
Note: Most on-campus food outlets are closed on this day due to UQ holidays.
