Program details: Food Safety Skill Set
Enhance your food production knowledge and skills with the Food Safety short course.
Designed specifically for members of the food manufacturing sector, this course covers the core skills required to effectively manage a food processing enterprise.
You’ll learn how to:
- establish and optimise operational processes
- implement and monitor safety plans
- prevent and manage food contamination and spoilage.
How you'll learn
This program is offered over 4 weeks, through a combination of interactive online learning modules and face-to-face training workshops (one workshop per week).
Assessment
You will be assessed through a variety of methods, including written exams and reports, oral assessments and practical demonstrations.

This program can be run at regional locations around Australia on request. Contact us for details. Locations require minimum numbers to go ahead.
You must:
- be aged 18 years or over
- work in the food manufacturing sector
- have the support of your supervisor or employer
- hold a minimum of a Higher School Certificate (or equivalent).
Recognition of Prior Learning
If you have recent work experience you may be eligible to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning.

You must provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) before we can accept your enrolment.
