Develop your ability to use sophisticated GIS technology and interpret complex, online data that you'll learn to relate back to your farm.

You’ll learn how to use digital technologies and provide solutions to improve soil health and yield, and lower the impact of pests, weeds and erosion at your on-farm location.

You’ll gain practical experience working with new technologies and learn skills such as: 

  • using and analysing data to develop treatment strategies 
  • using a fallow field to take soil samples
  • using GPS equipment related to GIS information
  • working with technologies to support your improved, organisational tasks.

How you'll learn

This course is delivered through a blended learning model. You will complete approximately 6-8 weeks of online content, followed by two days of face-to-face practical training.

Assessment

You will be assessed through a variety of methods, including written case studies, project-based assessment, and written exams.
