Champion sustainability in your workplace!
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the environment?
Whether you’re a manager, team leader or individual contributor, this training will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to drive sustainability initiatives in your workplace.
You’ll learn how to:
- evaluate current work practices and identify areas for improvement
- develop and implement strategies to enhance the sustainability of your workplace
- monitor and assess the effectiveness of sustainability measures
- utilise data to measure, adapt and improve sustainability strategies
- incorporate and apply relevant environmental legislation, regulations, and standards
- promote a culture of sustainability.
How you'll learn
You'll complete two 1-day workshops at UQ St Lucia, with a virtual classroom available upon request.
Assessment
You will be assessed through a variety of methods, including written exams and reports, oral assessments and practical demonstrations.

12 September 2025
There are no academic entry requirements for this course. However you must demonstrate you have at least 2 years of work experience.
All UQ Skills programs require access to a computer with a Windows operating system, up-to-date versions of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Reader, and a reliable internet connection.
Recognition of Prior Learning
If you have recent work experience you may be eligible to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning.

Australia's Food and Beverage Accelerator (FaBA) offers funded places in this course for people working in the food and beverage manufacturing industry. You will need to contribute to the cost of your training through an upfront, non-refundable co-contribution fee of $180.
