How you’ll learn

The Diploma of Procurement and Contracting PSP50616 is delivered over 12 months through a blend of virtual workshops via Zoom, self-paced online learning and assessment.

Workshop sessions are held weekly in the evenings, tailored to fit around your work schedule. Our experienced faculty, who are experts in their field, provide a supportive and interactive learning environment.

The curriculum is designed with a practical approach, combining theoretical knowledge with real-world scenarios. This ensures that you are not just learning concepts but are also able to apply them effectively in your workplace.

The course provides ample opportunities to network, exchange ideas, and learn from the experiences of peers working in procurement across the region and industry experts.

The online learning component uses case studies and simulations to ensure you can analyse and practise the tools, techniques and concepts presented in the online learning environment.

Assessment

You will be assessed through a variety of methods, including written, work-based portfolios and practical assessments.

Start date

19 February 2025: Weekly sessions, Wednesday 6–9pm AEDT.

    You must:

    • be aged 18 years or over
    • work in the public sector (you'll complete an evidence portfolio for assessment)
    • have the support of your supervisor or employer
    • hold a minimum Higher School Certificate (or equivalent).

    Recognition of Prior Learning

    If you have recent work experience you may be eligible to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning.

    You must provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) before we can accept your enrolment.

    Third-party arrangement

    UQ Skills has a third-party arrangement with AcademyGlobal to deliver this program. In this arrangement, UQ Skills is the Principal RTO.

    At all times, the Principal RTO is responsible for the quality of the training and assessment you will receive in compliance with Standards for RTOs 2015, and for the issuance of the Australian Qualifications Framework certification documentation.

    These standards set out the requirements that an organisation must meet in order to be an RTO and ensure the integrity and quality of nationally recognised training provided by registered training organisations.

    This qualification is recognised by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).

    CIPS has mapped 2 AQF qualifications:

    • AQF Diploma of Procurement and Contracting (PSP50616)
    • AQF Advanced Diploma of Procurement and Contracting (PSP60616)

    Learners who achieve the PSP50616 Diploma delivered by UQ Skills in partnership with AcademyGlobal will receive the maximum number of exemptions available for the CIPS Diploma in Procurement and Supply, only needing to undertake 2 of 8 subjects to be awarded the CIPS Diploma.
